One Wing Two branding

The Enneagram is a powerful tool for self-discovery and understanding, outlining nine distinct personality types that reflect how individuals relate to themselves, others, and the world through core fears and desires. I identified my Enneagram type as a one wing two, then created a mini identity system that embodies one or more key characteristics of this type.

Reflection

The values I chose to represent—compassion, high standards, and balance—served as the foundation for my branding. I drew inspiration from traditional Japanese culture, which also emphasizes these values, and explored how I could merge these Eastern principles with my own Western background. The result was a concept for a wellness spa and lounge, offering healing and restoration through traditional Japanese remedies. As part of the project, I designed branded elements such as a calendar and a line of pressed juices—products you might find in a space curated for someone who values intention, care, and mindful living.

Through this project, I learned how important key words are in building a brand. They help guide every creative decision and force the designer to pay close attention to the characteristics of their target audience. By identifying specific values and traits I was able to develop a visual language that would resonate with people who share those ideals. These descriptive words became the foundation for choosing colors, typography, and supporting elements that reflected the personality of my Enneagram type.

This project was new and exciting, which fueled my desire to keep brainstorming and expanding on the initial concept. I found that having regular check-in points with a professor was incredibly helpful. It ensured that I stayed on track and didn’t stray too far from the original goal or assignment. Consistent feedback not only kept the project focused but also gave me the clarity and confidence to move forward creatively.
